Current head of the Blademaster family, Blademaster Sakurako Koizumi, like all Koizumis, was raised from a young age to become successor to the title. Born the youngest of many siblings, she became ruthless to live up to her family’s expectations, and became the first Koizumi to earn the title who was not the eldest child. Though this broke her relationships with her siblings, it earned her parents’ approval, and a marriage was swiftly arranged to continue the family’s legacy, while also forging bonds with other prominent Military-class title families. With the legacy of her family title on her shoulders, it was inevitable that she would pass that same pressure to inherit on to her own children. Though she raised Honoka well as a future Blademaster, the scandal of the bullying incident during her Assignment training resulted in the strict Sakurako cutting her off completely from the family until such a time as she has proven she has the temperament required to become a true Blademaster.
