Once a Military-class soldier and Nelson pilot, Heartpiercer Micah Cadenzavna applied for immediate reassignment when her younger sister died of complications in the Assignment process. No longer willing to have anything to do with the military after what she blamed on GMS’s negligence[1], she became an Entertainment-class singer instead, wanting to use music to uplift those suffering within the Empire. Though she wished to fully distance herself from her Military past, her agent requested she keep her title of Heartpiercer, as while she may once have been known for piercing the heart of her enemies, her songs could still strike the heart of her audience just as effectively.

NPC Class Shieldbearer Cataphract
Status Missing

The Nelson once piloted by Heartpiercer Micah Cadenzavna, Gungnir was known for its speed and unerring accuracy with its spear. The weapon was designed to function as both a polearm and a cannon, giving its pilot more versatility of range than the average Nelson, and was also equipped with an energy cape that could provide protection to itself and its allies. However, Gungnir's power required a subjectivity sync with its pilot for full effectiveness, one which the Heartpiercer was not tuned properly to, resulting in regular backlash from the strain.[2]

Though Gungnir was set to be decommissioned after the Heartpiercer's reassignment, on the day it was scheduled to be destroyed, the frame had vanished completely. Concerns over Imperial military technology falling into enemy hands have led to an ongoing hunt for the missing Nelson, though there have been no credible leads thus far.

  1. "...How did it take you so long to realize?" she asks finally, her words stifled by gritted teeth. "You, who should have-- should have understood better than anyone what they took from us?"
Her head slumps. "...I needed you on my side, Ezra. I needed you to know what Graves-Meyer had done. But you didn't-- not really... and that hurt almost as much as losing her." (Shore Leave 2, 1/30/2025)
  2. "...It's nothing terminal, if that's your concern. It's just..." She glances to Ezra. "Gungnir had a subjectivity sync-- something to give it that extra reaction time needed to move the way it does. But... I wasn't able to sync properly. I could use it, but even now, I occasionally have... attacks. An aftershock of the sync backlash. The pills are a treatment for that, to keep it from getting worse." (Shore Leave 2, 1/30/2025)
